Co-op Web is a Birmingham-based workers’ co-operative which builds IT systems, web applications and content-managed solutions across a range of technical platforms. It works with many different types of business from small social enterprises to large multi-nationals. It was set up in 2006 by four former employees of the IT department of Midcounties Co-operative and now there are over 20 employees. Help from Co-operative Futures with some financial modelling and developing a business plan enabled them to access loan finance to support the growth of the business.
